Purchasing Coordinator

Job Summary: The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. Key Responsibilities: Procurement Management: Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships. Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure adequate stock. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Cost Management: Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. Vendor Coordination: Communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues. Evaluate vendor performance and maintain a preferred vendor list. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain and update procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts. Prepare reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier negotiation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
