THE POSITION:

The MSPCA at our Boston Adoption Center is offering a unique opportunity for an experienced community organizer, non-profit program development and/or animal welfare applicant. If your dream job is to make a positive impact in people’s lives and your community, this is your opportunity.

The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for establishing and expanding access to MSPCA’s services, resources and information in the Dorchester and Roxbury areas of Boston. Our Coordinator will work to connect pet owners to affordable animal care resources, such as, veterinary care, pet food, and supplies.

Collaboration is the key to success in this position. Building relationships within the community with other animal organizations, community groups and community leaders is a vital part of this position.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

If you are a self-motivated, compassionate, positive, and organized individual with excellent interpersonal communication skills, this may be the career opportunity you’ve been looking for.

We are looking for an individual who has at least 2 years of recent experience working in animal welfare with animal handling skills and at least 1 year of recent experience working in customer service, social work or non-profit. Spanish proficiency is preferred but not required. Applicants should have a valid driver's license.
