This MRI Technologist opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule. This dynamic individual will p erform a variety of MRI and Diagnostic imaging procedures and is responsible for patient and employee safety protocols This position functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. This position participates in CQI activities as it relates to the hospital and American college of Radiology.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards to the patient
  • Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
  • Performs MRI safety check on all patient and staff prior to entering the MRI room according to policy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Two year of radiological/imaging experience.
  • Prefer specific experience and training in MRI. Must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year of employment. (This will be monitored by department supervisor)
  • ARRT license required.
  • Current BCLS certification.
