Position Summary:

In this position you get to work on incredibly precise and complex spindle assemblies. These spindles are the heart of the Gleason machines and are what set us apart from our competition. You will get to assemble, grind, balance, test and troubleshoot these assemblies through multiple levels of quality inspections.

To be successful in this position:
  • Have a high level of mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with reading and understanding engineering drawings, models, work instructions and specifications
  • Experience working with tight tolerances
  • Have a basic understanding of shop math
  • Can verify component conformance using precision gauges, micrometers and other measuring instruments
  • Be organized, systematic and detail oriented
  • Can learn from others and follow explicit instruction
  • Have good problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Be collaborative and team oriented
  • Have a high level of accountability and pride in your work
