Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is looking for a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee and lead a variety of maintenance activities at our state-of-the-art office and manufacturing facility. The 125,000 sq. ft. facility contains light manufacturing, providing a clean and quiet work environment. X-ES is primarily a first shift operation with limited weekend activity.
The ideal candidate will oversee and execute the preventative maintenance program while handling a wide-range of upkeep and repair tasks. Responsibilities may include maintaining laboratory testing machinery, building infrastructure, safety systems, and ancillary production support equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision to the small maintenance team to achieve established goals, including planning, delegating, coordinating work, completing timesheets, and conducting regular performance reviews.
- Prioritize and distribute work assignments to allocated staff, ensuring proper documentation is recorded in the CMMS (Maintenance Connection).
- Perform a variety of tasks including equipment installation, valve repairs, machine servicing, component replacement, wiring repair, general building systems maintenance, and operation of shop machines.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.
- Coordinate responses to routine and emergency repair requests, manage special projects, and ensure completion of scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Review and recommend maintenance contracts from external contractors.
- Collaborate with equipment manufacturer representatives to conduct repairs and major PMs.
- Create purchase order requisitions for repair parts and service labor.
- Manage applicable budgets for equipment repairs, parts, and supplies effectively.
- Graduation from an accredited high school (or valid General Educational Development certificate).
- Minimum of seven (7+) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance are required due to work-related supply pick-ups (mileage is reimbursed).
- High level of mechanical aptitude with prior knowledge and experience using hand and power tools.
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills.
- Strong initiative and follow through.
- Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Available to be on-call in case of maintenance emergencies.
- Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.
- Bachelor or Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance or an applicable technical field.
- Three (3+) years of maintenance supervisory/leadership experience.
- Experience with cryogenic systems or HVAC servicing equipment is a plus.
- Working knowledge of regulatory standards such as OSHA.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, diagrams, electrical schematics, blueprints, and more.
