Essential Functions:

  • Identifies configuration opportunities and participates in workgroup sessions to facilitate effective solutions.
  • Assists business areas to identify, develop and/or update complex processes due to new or updated configuration.
  • Manages the end-to-end configuration process for the most complex configuration issues.
  • Reviews, prioritizes, and assigns configuration issues and requests; monitors progress, quality and quantity and makes timely and effective adjustments.
  • Provides training and guidance, and reviews work of less senior staff.
  • Supports all phases of the testing process; participates in peer review of testing and makes recommendations before test plan is promoted to production.
  • Oversees the code set process to ensure timely and accurate updates; communicates, or ensures others communicate changes to stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains required documents and reports, including but not limited to desk level procedures.
  • Participates in the most significant QUsers groups, ensuring that HPSJ’s business interests are advanced.
  • Assists with change pack and version upgrades, including reviewing release notes, analyzing changes for impact, and making recommendations.
  • Assists with the planning, development and implementation of department strategies and associated tactics.
What You Bring:

Required
  • In-depth subject matter knowledge in at least four health plan functional areas.
  • In-depth knowledge of the features, functions, and configuration of all QNXT or equivalent modules, including batch system and capabilities.
  • Basic knowledge of database concepts and terminology, including interrelationships between data fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of the flow of data and information through a health plan.
  • In-depth knowledge of provider and/or facility contract and payment structures, and reimbursement practices, including capitation.
  • In-depth knowledge of procedure coding and medical terminology, and their application to provider setup.
  • In-depth knowledge of general medical benefits and exclusions.
  • In-depth knowledge of and ability to plan, organize and execute basic configuration testing processes.

What You Have:

Education and Experience

Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree; and
  • At least five years in configuration in a managed care health plan using QNXT or similar system; and
  • Experience configuring all QNXT or similar system modules; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
  • Experience in configuration in managed care, Medi-Cal, Medicaid and/or Medicare.
