Job description Truck Driver Backup Camarillo based Manufacturing Co. is seeking a Truck Driver Backup for Pickups and Deliveries in Local and L.A Area. Must be able to read Maps. Bring in current DMV Record. Job Description: Scope: Non-Supervisory position - Labor Grade 5 Summary: Operates company truck for local pickup and delivery, including loading and unloading. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operates company truck for local pick-up and delivery, in a safe manner, obeying traffic laws. Loads and unloads material/parts from/to truck. Performs a daily safety audit of the truck. Maintains cleanliness of truck. Maintains truck run log and manifest. Work in Receiving or Inventory when not performing daily truck run schedule. Performs other related duties as assigned by Supervision or Management. Responsible for, and given the organizational freedom to report quality deficiencies, recommend solutions, and implement approved corrective and preventative action. The backup driver will be assigned to Receiving and/or Inventory stocking and pulling except when filling in for primary truck driver Qualification: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Previous experience operating a commercial vehicle preferred Skills and Abilities: Able to operate a standard size truck requiring a regular drivers license. Able to add, subtract and divide whole numbers and decimals. Able to carry out instructions, and deal with problems involving concrete variables. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
