Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Join our dedicated team in Albany Medical Center's Pediatrics Neurology department and make a difference in the lives of children We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) who possesses advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in pediatric care. You will play a vital role in the assessment and management of pediatric patients, collaborating closely with physicians and healthcare providers to deliver family-centered care.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting laboratory results to diagnose medical conditions.
- Administering medications, therapeutic interventions, and performing minor surgical procedures as needed.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records and billing codes.
- Leading clinical shifts and serving as a mentor to new staff and physician assistant students.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- NP License, ATLS, and BCLS certifications upon hiring.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computerized medical recordkeeping systems.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality.
