Pediatric Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services.
Job SummaryThe Pediatric Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner is responsible for assessing patients with specialized health needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with attending physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care.
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and manage patients with complex medical conditions, including ordering diagnostic tests, consultations, and therapeutic interventions as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient, taking into account their medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely and effective communication and coordination of care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive patient information.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their care and treatment.
- Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Albany Medical Center offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. This position requires access to confidential and sensitive patient information, and candidates must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
