Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Provide a full range of clinical services on-site, off-site, and via telehealth to include: mental health and addiction treatment services, screening, assessment, treatment planning, direct counseling, group facilitation, crisis intervention, and professional consultation for individuals, couples, families, and/or groups of people living with, directly affected by, or at high risk of HIV infection.
• Provide trauma-focused support services & care planning to increase client understanding of trauma response on life and health outcomes; identification of trauma-related barriers to effective HIV care; referral and linkage to agency or community resources for trauma response interventions that help improve HIV adherence, physical health, and emotional wellbeing.
• Provide clinical, trauma-focused care planning to include intake, assessment, care planning, re-assessment, referrals, brokering, education and advocacy.
• Identify, establish, and/or maintain contact with key social service providers in the community, specific to mental health, addiction treatment, and trauma-informed providers, with a focus on linking HIV+ individuals who are not currently accessing community-based services.
• Prepares and maintains necessary client records and reports in accordance with licensing and accreditation standards and agency policies and procedures.
• Provide services consistent with a community counseling model, including prevention education, outreach, advocacy, and consultation.
• Maintain work consistent with quality standards established by the agency and in compliance with state licensure and funding requirements
• Participate in benefit authorization, utilization review, and/or chart audit process as requested.
• Participates in weekly individual and group clinical supervision.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related area.
• State of Tennessee unencumbered behavioral health licensure, such as LCSW, LMSW seeking clinical licensure, LMFT, or LPC.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical or relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to work with populations who have a high prevalence of mental illness, trauma and substance use.
• Experience working with populations diverse in race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, etc.
• Demonstrated relationship skills to engage current and/or potential clients in Behavioral Health services.
• Valid Tennessee Driver's License, vehicle, and automobile liability insurance to facilitate local travel required for client/agency related business.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Four (4) years social service experience related to HIV/AIDS, co-occurring disorders, substance use, sexual identity issues, grief/loss, trauma, or crisis intervention.
• Training in evidence-based trauma interventions.
• Experience providing behavioral health services utilizing telehealth platforms.
• Experience interfacing with insurance companies as a clinician.
• Bi-lingual abilities preferred.
