Here are some of the tasks you'll be responsible for daily:
- Prompt handling and follow-up of all overnight inquiries within assigned market segments. Solicitation and prospecting of accounts and markets at the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing
- Sets the example for direct sales activities and client readiness: outside sales calls, client entertainment, industry event attendance, exit interviews and client follow-up
- Familiarity with need periods and effective positioning of business to maximize profitability
- Understanding and achievement of monthly sales goals, room nights, and average daily rate
- Maintain clientele within assigned market segments by fostering improved client relations while increasing room rate revenue
- Meet and/or exceed financial booking goals
- Implementation of quarterly Sales Action Plan
- Fallow-up on assigned history/repeat bookings, lost business
- Consistent follow-up on all traces
- Participate in training, trade shows, field trips and community, industry, and professional organizations to maintain high visibility in support of the achievement of sales and revenue goals
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned and participate in task forces and committees as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing
- Assist any department as is necessary due to business levels, which may require physical activity
- Minimum five years hotel, resort/conference center experience
- Service oriented
- Great attitude and eager to learn and willing to be a part of a large team
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail and Goal oriented
- Proficient in Basic Computer Skills i.e., Word, Excel, etc.
- DELPHI Experience (preferred)

This position will require moving for 50% of the time sometimes in varying temperatures and 50% sedentary.
