Construction Supervisor

Description :

  • An electrical inspector, essentially needed for the installation of five Wartsila units.
  • A pre-engineered metal building that supports them and the installation of a of a GE combustion turbine.
  • Electrical is going to consist of 480 Volt, 4160 Volt installations and 13.8 kilovolt ties to substation distribution, building wiring at 120 volt, 240 Volt, and 480 volt.
  • Supporting the installation of 3 Wartsila delay units inside of a Pre-engineered metal building
  • Reviewing the project drawings, project specs and familiarize themselves with it.
  • Ensuring that all the electrical components out in the field are being installed per drawing in spec
  • Working with Construction managers and project engineers, electrical engineers, in addition to logistics personnel.
  • Will interface with all contractors in additional to suppliers, GE, Warsilla, Van Ert, etc.
  • Working within a highly collaborative onsite team that includes construction managers, project engineers in addition to logistics staff.
Qualifications :
  • Proficient with PDF/Adobe Pro, Bluebeam and/or other electric drawing management viewing tools.
  • Targeting 5 to 7 + years of previous electrical [inspection] experience
  • Hands on technical knowledge to be able to understand right/wrong during contractor electrical oversight.
  • Must be able and capable of physical requirements - kneeling, bending, twisting.
  • Strong electrical knowledge with 4160 distribution, electrical distribution systems, 13.8 transmission distribution, 480 Volt motor control and electrical distribution would be great.
  • Familiar with building wiring, Power Distribution systems and transmission tie ins.
  • Knowledgeable of electrical distribution systems and electric generation.
  • Strong team players and communicators.
  • Strong relationship skills and the ability to get along well with others.
  • Experience with logistics side of things, scheduling of deliveries, documenting, etc.
  • An electrical inspector with working knowledge of both low and high voltage installations who has done power generation work.
  • A working knowledge of best practices of these types of installations.

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
