System Integration Technician

ESS is looking for a motivated, hard-working System Integration Technicians to join our team. This person is responsible for constructing and integrating plumbing, electrical, and sub- assemblies of large battery systems. The ideal candidate is someone who adaptable and understands the culture, the rigor, and the challenges of a start-up environment.
What you'll do at ESS.
- Construct, assemble, and leak check PVC plumbing assemblies.
- Construct and install electrical conduit and junction boxes.
- Connection of cables to other electrical assemblies per schematics.
- Use hand or powered tools for the construction and assembly of PVC plumbing and electrical parts.
- Operate drill press, miter saw, grinders, table saw etc.
- Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment per pre-defined procedures to evaluate performance of assemblies and record results.
- Work with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to improve system assembly process and quality.
- Perform in-process quality control inspections per pre-defined procedures to ensure the quality of the work performed and the functionality of the components and/or modules.
- Maintain clean working environment.
Minimum requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to follow job required Standards and Safety Protocols, per pre-defined processes.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and procedures.
- Ability to prepare and terminate cables.
- Familiar with data collection and entry.
- Ability to take and follow detailed notes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a small, dynamic team.
- Ability to fluently read and write English, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to wear Personal Protection Equipment according to OSHA rules and regulations.
- MS Excel skills
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with dynamic daily priorities.
- Experience in new-product introduction and scale to manufacturing.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
