Position Description: RN

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Charge Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate PACU team at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital .

The RN responsibilities include:

  • Being proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective managerial skills.

  • Acting as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team.

  • Developing self and team members and sharing organizational information.

  • Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse. Why BayCare?   • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

  • RN (Registered Nurse) license is required

  • ACLS Certification if required by department

  • RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion in lieu of education. Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid.

  • Nurse Specialty certification is preferred Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing, BS Healthcare related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification is required within 7 months of hire/promotion. Experience: · 18 months of RN experience in acute care is required · 1 year of leadership experience is preferred Specific Skills:

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Critical thinking skills

BayCare Health System, PACU Womens - St. Joseph's Women's Hospital

Location: Tampa, FL

Status: Part Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Shift: Shift 1

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: Yes
