Position Description: RN

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate PACU team in Same Day Surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital . As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness.

The RN responsibilities include:

  • Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.

  • Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.

  • Professional accountability and development.

  • Direct contact with the child and has primary responsibility for providing personal care assistance and supervision to a child.

  • Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned. Why BayCare?   • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

  • RN (Registered Nurse) license is required

  • ACLS Certification is required

  • Nurse Specialty certification is preferred Education:

  • Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred Experience: · 1 year of RN experience in acute care or 6 months RN experience in acute care with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment is required. · 1 year of RN experience in PACU working with adult and pediatric patients is preferred Specific Skills:

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Critical thinking skills

  • Clinical skills appropriate to position

Facility:

BayCare Health System, PACU Ambulatory Surgery - St. Joseph's Hospital

Location: Tampa, FL

Status: Part Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Wed-Fri

Shift: Shift 1

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: None

On Call: No
