POSITION SUMMARY:

Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard, windows, doors, using power tools. Demolition of existing structures, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, aiding in traffic control and assisting in material handling throughout the job site.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Designs, constructs, remodels, retrofits and repairs interior and exterior structures made of wood, drywall, plaster, concrete and brick.
  • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw.
  • Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using tape measure, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
  • Assist with managing subcontractors on site.
  • Assist with site coverage and supervision as needed.
  • Assist in setting a positive tone for the job.
  • Be a second set of eyes for site supervisor.
  • Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob, level, or laser.
  • Assemble and fasten materials to make framework, using hand tools or power tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
  • Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand or power tools.
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
  • Perform variety of tasks that require utilizing various power and hand tools.
  • Understands working in a delicate, high-end luxury home that requires the utmost care and attention to detail.
  • Install and maintain temporary wall barriers and floor protection for dust and debris control.
  • Maintain a clean and safe worksite by sweeping, picking up debris, transporting tools/equipment, dumping debris, removing snow, maintaining perimeter fall protection, organizing site materials, removing overgrown lawn/brush, unloading trucks, or any other assignments.
  • Assist in worksite safety by installing and removing barricades, setting up road signage, flagging and assisting with rigging items to crane as needed
  • Perform final and general clean-up of a space including mopping, dusting, removal of floor protection, etc.
  • Pumping water out of excavations to designated discharge points, including managing hoses, extension cords & generators.
  • Setting up and maintaining jobsite stormwater pollution prevention measures.
  • Follow and assist with enforcing all required PPE and safety procedures.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proficiency in operating skid steer, telehandler, and boom lift.
  • Must successfully complete essential physical functions evaluation and drug and alcohol testing as coordinated by employer.
