Join Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers (SSCHC), a federally qualified community health center in the heart of Milwaukee's southside. Gain professional development and hands-on training while expanding our agency's capacity to provide quality services and resources to our patients and community in a safe and welcoming environment.

Member Duties : The Family Education and Community Outreach Capacity Builder will enhance programing in SSCHC's Department of Environmental Health and Community Wellness through the facilitation of nutrition, cooking and physical activity education, coordinating volunteers and organizing the logistics of the sessions. Other activities include: Provide direct linguistic and culturally appropriate health education (nutrition, fitness) to children during the cycles of family education program and the series of family cooking classes. Expand recruitment for programming. Develop marketing materials and content for social media platforms. Conduct surveys with patients for behavior change or intent to change behavior to improve health. Members will also serve in the Healthy Schools Program and the Community Outreach Program and any appropriate project for the Department of Environmental Health and Community Wellness.
