Assembly Wiring Specialist

Assembly Wiring Specialist 2nd Shift New Bern, NC / Full-time Your responsibilities The Assembly Specialist is responsible for wiring complex units on the assembly line in the cycle time established by engineering. They will maintain product flow and promote a team environment, which includes but not limited to meeting production goals; maintaining a first pass yield, safety awareness; and meeting quality levels. Wire electrical components on cooking products based on product specifications. Must meet or exceed the cycle time standard for each platform based on standards. Must order and verify assembly wiring components per the BOM specification. Lead in maintaining the workstation in an organized manner using 5S tools. Must perform all duties in a safe manner and inform management about unsafe conditions andor unsafe acts. Assist team leader in resolving wiring issues in final assembly. Perform required paperwork such as SPC, quality checks, parts ordering, etc. if needed. Assist in performing material handling duties if required. Must be open to being cross-trained on all stations within any cell. Be able to perform line/product changeovers and preventative maintenance activities. Must maintain a quality rate of 95% or greater. Daily follow-up with team leader to foster a positive team environment. Perform all other duties as assigned. Must attend training on wiring concepts twice a year. Job Qualification Requirements: High School diploma or GED Show strong communication skills and capable of training others on wiring processes. Must be able to read a bill of material documents. Any of the above requirements/qualifications may be waived for the successful candidate. Knowledge: Manufacturing background in related departmental area. SPC knowledge, basic measurement instruments and machine control knowledge if required for the working area. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of production experience.
