Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor

Duties: Lead the manufacturing team to build cable on time and defect free. Coordinate the cable manufacturing team to ensure due dates are met. Communicate with the Sales team when customer deliveries will not meet expectations. Ensure quality standards are exceeded in all aspects of cable making. Plan and coordinate with other department supervisors and management. Initiate, coordinate, and enforce program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Maintain inventory and manufacturing record accuracy by ensuring appropriate ERP transactions and flow of material. Maintain physical condition of work area by recommending new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Achieve financial objectives by managing headcount; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results. Improve team results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, while planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Remain up-to-date and comfortable interpreting relevant specifications. Identify, develop, and execute actions to improve manufacturing, assembly, and warehousing activities. Assist in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Attend training activities. Travel occasionally as needed for business purposes (less than 25%).
Requirements: H.S. degree plus 4 years of experience in a manufacturing engineer or related role, Associate's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering or related field (with no exp. required). Also requires: knowledge of M27500 and other mil-spec cable creation; skilled in wire and cable braiding, taping, and sintering; strong written, technical, and verbal communication skills; reporting, reading, and analytical skills; excellent organization, planning, and time management skills; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs; and demonstrated ability to supervise and lead.
