Job Summary: MLee Healthcare is looking for a Trauma Program Director to join a growing and dynamic team In this role, you'll oversee the care of trauma patients, ensuring seamless continuity from pre-hospital through hospital and post-hospital phases. As Director of a comprehensive trauma program, you'll organize services and systems to support a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

The Trauma department fosters a familial atmosphere, where every team member is valued.

Responsibilities:
  • Educates hospital staff on ACS guidelines for verification and re-verification using the latest ACS Guidebook, "Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient."
  • Manages trauma care across all stages, including planning and implementing protocols, monitoring in-hospital patients, and serving as a clinical practice resource.
  • Develops professional staff intra-facility and regionally, participates in case reviews, implements guidelines, directs community trauma education, and organizes healthcare conferences focused on trauma patients.
  • Monitor clinical processes, outcomes, and care quality: develop filters, audits, and reviews; identify trends and events; and outline remedial actions while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Manage operational, personnel, and financial aspects of the trauma program. Serve as liaison to administration and represent the program on hospital and community committees to enhance trauma care.
  • Oversee data collection, coding, scoring, and validation processes. Design the registry to support improvement activities, trend reports, and research, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Facilitate collaboration among disciplines for high-quality care. Support staff across departments and serve as a liaison for EMS agencies.
  • Contribute actively to research projects, including designing protocols for data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings.
  • Contribute to the advancement of trauma care systems at the community, state, or national levels.
Management: Regularly meets with direct reports to align expectations with organizational and departmental goals. Manages scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluations based on department objectives and standards. Applies policies consistently and fairly. Builds and leads an effective team through recruitment, interviewing, selection, and training processes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Three years of clinical experience in trauma or emergency care
  • Registered professional nurse in the state of New Hampshire or with another state board of nursing followed by immediate registration for New Hampshire license
  • TNCC, ENPC/PALS, ACLS, BCLS certified
  • Instructor status is a plus
