Job Overview: The Corporate Controller role is pivotal in driving financial excellence and ensuring robust internal controls at our Greensboro facility. This position is integral to our major subsidiary, which is the main growth driver for the group. The Corporate Controller will co-lead the financial team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review monthly/quarterly close cycle and complete financial reports with high quality and professional analysis.
  • Ensure SOX compliance by implementing and documenting internal controls, processes, and routines.
  • Oversee revenue recognition and proactively identify ways to shorten the monthly close timelines.
  • Develop and drive innovative process improvements that leverage technology to maximize efficiency while strengthening internal controls.
  • Manage ERP system accuracy for WIP subsidiary.
  • Assume HR governance and oversight over payroll, SOX, and 401K.
  • Work collaboratively with corporate finance and subsidiary teams.
  • Serve as a liaison for all 3rd party audits including PWC, Internal, and SOX audits.
Requirements include:

Education:
  • BS in Accounting or related field required.
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a controller or assistant controller in manufacturing (Aerospace preferred).
  • Experience working in a publicly traded company is a plus.
  • Audit experience required.
Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP, procedures, and legislation.
  • Proficient in office and accounting software programs such as ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Certifications:
  • CPA required.
Knowledge:
  • Experience working in a Multi-National company is a plus.
  • Good understanding of SOX compliance and internal control processes.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable to changing responsibilities and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation.
