Description:
Under the direction of the Assistant Manager of Asset Management,the Temporary Computer Technician is responsible for the maintenance of computer hardware (mainly student Chromebooks). Candidates should be able to work independently with limited direction or side by side with other personnel.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Unpacking and prepping systems for installation
  • Installing, re-imaging, configuring and deploying systems
  • Relocating systems to alternative sites, cleaning and setting them up in new locations
  • Removing and recycling old systems
  • Asset management and associated inventory and security tasks will be required
  • Troubleshooting and assessing systems operational ability
  • Documentation of tasks and ability to follow procedures and workflow
  • Communicate with fellow technicians, users and service manager in an open, consistent and transparent manner

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Certifications:
  • High school students applying should have taken some Computer related courses.
  • High school students with no prior work experience may add their teachers as supervisory references.

Experience:
  • Ability to perform work requiring climbing, walking, sitting, squatting and/or physical exertion
  • Ability to lift heavy loads of 40 lbs. or more
  • Strong technical, analytical and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently, be trusted, and possess highest level of integrity
  • Have a willingness to learn and have a positive attitude
  • Ability to interact positively with supervisors and co-workers
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Work experience (full or part-time) is a plus.
  • A+ Certification
  • Network+ Certification
  • Applicable vendor certifications (i.e. Apple, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)
  • Experience working in a K-12 or college/university
