- Provide excellent customer service by answering phone inquiries promptly.
- Assist customers efficiently and effectively.
- Support the preparation of urgent medication requests and resolve issues related to missing medications.
- Maintain inventory levels by reordering medications and supplies as needed.
- Receive and restock medications from suppliers and vendors.
- Compound specialty medications tailored to patient needs.
- Utilize aseptic techniques for sterile product preparation.
- Document all compounded and repackaged items accurately.
- Conduct quality control checks in accordance with company policies.
- Stay informed about regulatory guidelines and strive for compliance.
- Follow all departmental policies and procedures diligently.
- Assist with patient refill requests and support pharmacists as necessary.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by pharmacy management.
- Deliver medications to local clinics and patients as required.
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- Registered as a pharmacy technician with the relevant state board.
- Proficient in computer applications and capable of learning new systems.
- Experience with aseptic techniques is preferred.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities across various professional levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Independent thinking with excellent analytical capabilities.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Accurate mathematical problem-solving skills.
- Manual dexterity and coordination to perform necessary tasks.
- Ability to operate complex technical equipment.
- Capability to lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Frequent bending, standing, walking, squatting, reaching, and stretching.
