We are currently looking for a Leader to direct two retail stores in Idaho and Nevada. Our Client runs mattress and furniture stores and are looking to expand the retail operations in the near future.

Position Overview: Our Client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Retail Stores to oversee their expanding operations. Starting with two full-line retail mattress and furniture stores located in Twin Falls, ID, and Elko, NV, this position is pivotal in driving sales performance, optimizing store operations, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. The Director will be based out of our Twin Falls location but will require occasional travel to Elko and other potential future locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor high-performing sales teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Ensure that all team members are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with the company's goals.
  • Sales Performance: Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and achieve company targets. Regularly analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Merchandising: Oversee merchandising strategies to ensure that products are displayed in an appealing and profitable manner. Maintain knowledge of market trends and customer preferences to make informed buying decisions.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the open-to-buy process, ensuring that inventory levels are optimized to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure that all retail operations are conducted efficiently and in line with company standards. This includes store cleanliness, product availability, and overall customer experience.
  • Travel: Travel to Elko, NV, and other locations as needed to oversee operations, provide support, and ensure consistency across all stores.
  • Saturday Availability: Must be available to work on Saturdays, the busiest retail day of the week.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the furniture or mattress industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing successful sales teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of merchandising principles and the open-to-buy process.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:
  • Base Salary + Incentives: Total compensation is expected to exceed $120,000 annually, including base salary and performance-based incentives.
