As an Electrical Journeyman, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical installations and repairs for our clients. You will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of electrical work and a dedication to continuous improvement and learning. This position also involves mentoring Apprentice Electricians, sharing knowledge, and fostering skill development within our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Always carry standard equipment and parts to ensure preparedness for any task.
  • Travel between job sites as required, effectively managing your time and resources.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and assessments, engaging with clients to understand and address their electrical needs.
  • Determine the most appropriate solutions considering the project specifics.
  • Install and maintain electrical components such as wires, plugs, panelboards, switchgear, and switchboards.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical machines.
  • Manage inventory levels to maintain an adequate supply of necessary materials.
  • Document the time and materials expended on each project for accurate cost calculation.
  • Comply with all relevant safety standards and regulations, promoting a safe work environment.
  • Deliver professional, courteous, and timely services to all clients.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of an apprenticeship program.
  • Valid Oregon state license to practice as an Electrical Journeyman, if applicable.
  • Additional certification or degree in a related field is beneficial.
  • Strong mathematical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physical fitness, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in tight spaces.
