Job Description

Job Summary:
The Drywall Superintendent will be responsible for managing field operations, ensuring that all drywall projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of drywall construction, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage all field operations related to drywall projects, including scheduling, workforce management, and material procurement.
  • Oversee the work of subcontractors and crews, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and company quality expectations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting safety meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and change orders.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of project activities, including pre-construction meetings and post-construction reviews.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to on-site teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in drywall construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
  • In-depth knowledge of drywall installation techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them on time and within budget.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling software and other project management tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
