Duties
- Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Lead the development, monitoring, enforcement, and the evaluation regulations, policies, procedures, State Plan Amendments and other guidelines for States in the design and implementation of their Medicaid Managed Care programs.
- Serve as the Group Deputy Director/ 2nd line manager who directs staff responsible for the development of Medicaid Managed Care policies, including overarching program and financial policy, program monitoring and oversight, and operations.
- Provide executive leadership: (1) in the administration of key national program policies and procedures; (2) for projects that are implemented across MCG divisions; 3) in the absence of the Director, assumes responsibility for the operations of MCG.

In order to qualify for the GS-15, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include:
- Leading a national or statewide healthcare, public welfare, or managed care program that serves low-income families, adults and children such as program and financial policy development, program monitoring and oversight, or operations; AND
- Experience negotiating and collaborating with a wide range of senior level officials on issues concerning a national or state health care, public welfare, or managed care program; AND
- Experience developing or editing a variety of technical and non-technical documents such as health care program policy, program guidance, program issue and decision papers, regulations or other guidance documents.
