Advise and assist students and provide educational guidance services.
Essential Functions

- Maintain the confidentiality of protected student and staff member information even after no longer employed
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all policies, regulations and rules
- Perform related duties as assigned in a safe and prudent manner

This is a full-time salaried position, contracted for 148 days between July and May. Employee will typically work ten hours per day Monday through Thursday, excluding non-contracted break periods. Employee may need to work extended hours.
Required Education and Experience
One of the following:
- Completion of a graduate program in guidance and counseling from an accredited institution; -OR-
- Completion of a graduate program counseling, social work, or psychology from an accredited institution; -OR-
- A valid license as an associate counselor, professional counselor, master or clinical social worker, or marriage and family therapist issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners; -OR-
- Completion of a graduate program in academic advising from an accredited institution.
One of the following:
- Practicum: Completion of a supervised counseling practicum in school counseling from an accredited institution; -OR-
- School Counseling Experience: Verification of two years of full-time experience as a school counselor; - OR
- Teaching Experience: Verification of three years of full-time teaching experience.
Required Certifications/Licenses
Standard School Counselor, PreK-12 Certificate issued by the Arizona Department of Education
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
