Job Summary & Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll be a key contributor to the Procurement Team and will gain valuable experience supporting our manufacturing facilities in various areas and have exposure to key activities such as managing and planning procurement activities for direct materials, site support, site requirement sourcing, and managing day-to-day supplier relationships. Throughout the summer, you will own a key project relating to a relevant business problem and have the opportunity to present your insights and recommendations to leadership. Outside of this, you will partake in several development workshops and build connections with your peers and our business leaders through social & networking events.

Expected Outcomes:
  • Ownership of a project to interact with Procurement and Production teams, demonstrating analytical abilities and critical thinking skills while helping to solve real-life business problems.
  • Knowledge and experience with procurement practices and policies, savings initiatives, and production plans through your daily tasks and projects.
  • Strong collaboration within the site procurement, site leadership and production teams, cross-functional department teams, and vendors.
  • Active participation in Pure Ambition program activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field.
  • Clear written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Where and how you will work

The opportunity could be based at any of our US locations including but not limited to Twin Falls ID. Must be willing to relocate. (Furnished housing is provided to the intern, and a relocation allowance is given each year they participate in the program.)

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in CA. This range may not be applicable to other locations. The hourly wage for CA-based employees for this role is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.
