Overview of this Position:

This role is critical to GRAM's Capital Project success. Capitalizing on the role's unique blend of construction experience and pharmaceutical manufacturing knowledge, the role will also navigate internal and external stakeholders in the project to represent GRAM in prioritizing quality of the overall project.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on pharmaceutical or industrial facility projects.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • In-depth understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA, PMP, or LEED are a plus.
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Project Oversight: Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Present regular project status to GRAM team members and senior management.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, laborers, and other construction personnel.
  • Scheduling: Work with construction management team develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project costs and manage resources efficiently to stay within budget.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team, clients, and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status. Manage the communication within the team and to key GRAM stakeholders.
  • Lead team meetings, make decisions that propel the project forward and document those results. Communicate team decisions to stakeholders.
  • Assure the team adequately documents the project to assure successful commissioning and validation of facility, utilities, and process equipment.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, reports, and change orders.
  • ETOP: Ensure submittal approvals are organized and an efficient turnover package.
