Job Description:

About the Role:

The Production Manager will provide overall leadership for manufacturing departments in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, cost, equipment, and engagement. Coaching and mentoring the operations team to meet the strategic goals of the company while engaging employees in continuous improvement TMOS (Management Operating System) and fostering a positive work environment while developing a culture of ownership and accountability.

Scope: Manages a staff of 7-8 Salaried employees with overall responsibility for approximately 100 hourly manufacturing employees.

• Establishes clear goals and accountability to direct reports and provides performance feedback on a regular basis. 

• Ongoing mentoringof the team through regular performance reviews and developmental activities to ensure movement toward a high performance / high engagement organizationusing metrics and scorecards.

• Collaborate with the team of SME’s to bestutilizeresources to deliver against business and regulatory requirements in the areas of cost, financial controls, quality, safety, and business initiatives.

• Educate how to interpret and analyze available data (line speed target, set-up guidelines, and efficiency and process data) to continuously improve productivity, uptime, and reliability.

• Ensure clear and concise communication to all levels in the organization while being an advocate for your team.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Important Details : This is a full-time on-site role supporting plant needs on 1st shift with schedule flexing between all shifts occasionally required.

About You :

You will fit right in if you have:

• Four-year degree preferred with3-5 years of manufacturing experiencerequired.

• Previous experience in Continuous Improvement / Lean -TMOS (Management Operating System) environment preferred.

• Ability to coach, mentor and develop others to create an understanding of managing the overall business required.

• Professional verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and delegation skills required.

• Labor Relations experience is required.

• Minimal travel may be required.
