Position Overview:

We are currently looking for dedicated individuals to fill the role of MIG Welders on the 2nd shift at Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various welding preparations, including welding and finishing processes, to produce components according to client specifications and technical drawings.
  • Repair and restore products by disassembling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts as necessary.
  • Maintain and service welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Execute finish grinding tasks utilizing both manual and power tools.
  • Set up welding parameters, including amps and volts, and adjust fixturing as required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate wire, filler materials, and gases for different steel alloys.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required; a vocational certification in welding is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in various welding techniques, ideally within a production setting.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding methods is essential.
  • Familiarity with wire and filler materials, as well as gas applications for different alloys, is necessary.
  • Successful completion of an internal welding assessment and the ability to meet customer certification requirements.
  • Capability to interpret blueprints, particularly those with welding symbols.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Additional Information:

  • Competitive pay based on experience.
  • 2nd shift premium of $1.50 per hour.
  • Sign-on bonus of $1,000 available.
  • Paid time off upon hire and benefits available after 30 days.
  • Work schedule consists of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, from 2 PM to midnight, with potential overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.
