Seeking a full-time Primary Care APP in Durham, NC 27704

  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday
  • 8:00 am - 12:00 pm on Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Examine patients, perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram and laboratory tests; interpret test results for deviations from normal
  • Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care; manage infection
  • Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes and assist in provision of continuity of care
  • Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living and health maintenance

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Physician Assistant: Completion of accredited PA program
  • Nurse Practitioner: Completion of accredited NP program; Master's degree in Nursing
  • 2 or more years related healthcare experience and/or training

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration

  • Physician Assistant: Current NC medical license; certified by the NCCPA
  • Nurse Practitioner: Current NC Board of Nursing RN and NP license; certified as a Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC
  • Current BLS certification
