Essential Job Functions:

  • Drive assigned sales division to sales/distribution goals on premium and designated wines/brands.
  • Plan and execute launches of new brands to the market as applicable.
  • Execute sales drives and initiatives aimed at increasing average case sales of portfolio.
  • Develop and execute pre-sells and offerings for high end items.
  • Create awareness and attention towards the premium wines of each individual producer.
  • Create (in conjunction with MGB and portfolio) and provide the various sales teams with the tools necessary to succeed in launches, drives, offerings and pre-sells
  • Collaborate with RM’s on sales incentive programming, inventory management and pricing of premium wines.
  • Develop and maintain key account relationships in both on and off premise accounts, focused on a core list of high spots.
  • Coach and train distributor sales teams on premium wine sales holding them accountable for closing business.
  • Collaborate with RMs on presentation of premium brand/wine opportunities within the distributor
  • Collaborate with portfolio management to provide strategy and execution summaries to key suppliers within the portfolio.
  • Mentor and motivate sales reps by working in the field with them.
  • Act as an ambassador for the premium brands and wines within the designated categories.
  • Create and provide monthly activity reporting to RMs and TMs for accountability and distributor review meetings.
Additional Skills and/or Educational Background:
  • 3 to 5 years experience working as a supplier rep, with a proven track record representing premium wines in a specific category
  • Strong wine knowledge and understanding of the wholesale market in designated states
  • Spirit of initiative, creativity and out of the box thinking
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the proven ability to communicate across multiple teams and departments.
  • Prompt response to all communication (phone, email etc.)
  • Respect of deadlines
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent follow up and mentoring abilities.
Computer Skills:
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Diver Application.
  • Navision Application.
