Duties in Detail

  1. Monitoring network performance involves:

    • Analyzing data on network performance.
    • Conducting scheduled on-site audits and Wi-Fi testing.
    • Adjusting equipment placement as needed to optimize client experience.
  2. Implementing network enhancements includes:

    • Regular firmware updates for network hardware.
    • Enforcing compliance with company policies on endpoint devices.
    • Making configuration adjustments to accommodate new systems or technologies.
    • Performing routine configuration backups and tests.
  3. Providing technical support entails:

    • Utilizing advanced troubleshooting methods to resolve performance issues promptly.
  4. Offering guidance on network operations covers:

    • Designing, configuring, and documenting IT infrastructure.
    • Serving as a local technical resource for network projects.
    • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and strategic alignment.
    • Establishing corporate-wide network standards.
    • Researching and recommending advancements in network technologies.
    • Mentoring team members in IT network support.
    • Assessing future hardware/software acquisitions and preparing business justifications.
  5. Configuring network hardware and wireless systems involves:

    • Setting up routers, switches, wireless devices, and firewalls.
    • Conducting in-depth troubleshooting of network equipment.
