Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our team in Nashville, TN. This is an on-site position offering a competitive salary of up to $115,000/year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT security with at least 3 years of experience, and at least 1 year of experience working with cloud technologies. While our primary cloud provider is Google Cloud, experience with any cloud platform is acceptable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage robust security architectures for our cloud environments.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies, providing recommendations for enhancements.
  • Utilize CNAPP (Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform) tools to enhance the security posture of cloud applications and infrastructure (nice to have).
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior security team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with cloud technologies (Google Cloud preferred, but AWS or Azure experience is also acceptable).
  • Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • Experience with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
  • Proficiency in conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with CNAPP tools and their application in securing cloud environments (nice to have).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
