This role demands a blend of technical expertise, and a proactive approach to support our cybersecurity infrastructure, applications and services ensuring the reliability and security of our environments. The Work Itself Develop and maintain automation scripts to support metrics collection, reporting and dashboard creation Assist in implementing and reporting around operations, monitoring, patch management, and lifecycle management Collaborate with other cyber security engineering teams to define, automate (self-service), and implement key operations metric’s, KPI’s and dashboard Responsible for observability to monitor performance and security through metrics, traces and logs. Help to define observability and monitoring metrics such as SLO’s (Service Level objectives) and SLI’s (Service Level Indicators), working toward eliminating inefficiencies through automation and process improvement Assist in resolving production incidents, escalations, and reporting (RCA’s) The Skills You Bring 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, with a focus on SLOs, SLIs, error budgeting, and eliminating toil. Solid experience with incident management, including response, diagnosis, escalation, and reporting, is required 3-5+ years of AWS experience (IAC, performance engineering, testing, automation) Experience in operations, lifecycle management, patch management, configuration management, release, and QA engineering / automation Expertise in observability tools and techniques for monitoring metrics, traces, and logs Proficiency in automation using scripting languages such as GoLang, Python, and PowerShell Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and the ELK Stack Experience with cyber security tools such as firewalls, intrusion prevention (IPS), web application firewalls (WAF), network access control (NAC), endpoint detection and response (EDR), eMail security, and/or data loss prevention (DLP) #LI-hybrid How We'll Have Your Back * Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
