Description:
Reporting to the Corporate IT Manager, the Senior IT Security Engineer will serve as the primary IT security expert for the corporate IT environment. This role is responsible for the operational management of IT security infrastructure (such as Proxy, SIEM, EDR, Firewalls, Email-filter, VPN), enforcing standards, and creating and ensuring compliance with security policies. The role also includes responsibilities related to commercial system security, remote access solutions, networking, and overall security. A key aspect of this position is maintaining a secure and efficient environment during periods of growth. Success in this role requires a high level of technical proficiency, initiative, trust, and autonomy, along with a strong motivation to deliver critical services and solutions. The IT Security Engineer will also be responsible for:

  • Leading the IT Security function within the IT department and acting as the subject matter expert on securing corporate networks, including both onsite and cloud security infrastructure.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust Incident Response Plan, IT Security policies, network diagrams, and other required documentation.
  • Enforcing security governance by monitoring and managing security platforms and tools.
  • Providing technical and strategic support to IT projects and departmental goals, as well as contributing to the IT Security Roadmap.
  • Developing, maintaining, and improving existing and new security technologies, processes, and governance to enable proactive security monitoring and detection capabilities.
  • Leading problem remediation efforts and consulting with vendors to resolve critical technical issues.
  • Analyzing ongoing business requirements and managing/improving IT security, controls, and policies by consulting with other internal teams and third-party resources.
  • Collaborating with co-managed service providers, vendors, and third-party security consultants; overseeing security audits and penetration testing; and performing risk assessments.

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Relevant certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISA, CCNA, CCNP-Security, Network+, Security+, CySA+, or other certifications related to the role (IAT, IAM, DOD, etc.).
  • Working knowledge or familiarity with IoT, OT, and industrial remote access solutions.
  • Experience with networking technologies, security stacks, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Experience working in a global organization is a plus.


Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of industry experience.

Required Technical Abilities & Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with networking (layer 3), firewalls, email, SIEM, proxy, MFA, VPN, SDWAN, MDR/EDR, incident response, and security design.
  • Operational security experience with M365, Exchange, Purview, Azure (DevOps, AAD), third-party SaaS platforms, and overall business infrastructure.
