We are actively seeking a Senior IT Security Engineer on behalf of our Ag Tech client. This onsite role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the IT security infrastructure within a rapidly growing company in the agricultural technology sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operational security management and will be adept at leading security initiatives under the guidance of the Corporate IT Manager.
Role Overview:
The Senior IT Security Engineer will be responsible for the operational ownership of various IT security infrastructures such as Proxy, SIEM, EDR, Firewalls, Email-filter, VPN, etc. This role requires a hands-on approach to manage and enforce IT security standards and policies, ensuring a secure and resilient technological environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary operational owner of IT security infrastructure, overseeing elements like Proxy, SIEM, EDR, Firewalls, Email-filter, and VPN.
* Lead the IT Security function within the IT Department, serving as a subject matter expert on securing both corporate networks and cloud security infrastructure.
* Develop and maintain robust incident response plans, corporate IT security policies, network diagrams, and other required documentation.
* Enforce security governance by actively monitoring and administering security platforms and tools.
* Provide technical and strategic support to IT projects, actively contributing to the IT Security Roadmap.
* Develop, maintain, and enhance security technologies and processes to ensure proactive security monitoring and detection capabilities.
* Liaise with vendors and third-party consultants to resolve critical technical issues and manage security audits and risk assessments.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Minimum of 10-12 years of proven industry experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within IT security.
* Strong operational experience with IT security systems including, but not limited to, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Azure.
* Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISA, CCNA, CCNP-Security, Network+, Security+, CySA+, or other relevant IT certifications.
* Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory compliance standards like CIS Framework, Azure Foundations, and Microsoft Cloud Security benchmark.
* Advanced skills in SQL and familiarity with network technologies like Cisco Meraki AP's & Switches and FortiGate Firewall.
