VitalCheck Wellness, on behalf of Photon Medical Group, is seeking a culturally sensitive and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. Patient care will be provided in-person and virtually at one of NYC Health + Hospitals' Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Centers (HERRCs) making a difference in the lives of migrants.
_Responsibilities _
- Conduct culturally competent short-term counseling, crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and psycho-education.
- Conducting emergency evaluation/assessment for mental health crisis, substance use/disorder, occupational needs, domestic violence, etc.
- Advocacy on behalf of the family when working with NYC Administration for Children's Services or other preventative services.
- Communicating and collaborating with external service providers to enhance engagement and ensure quality of service delivery.
- Providing education and training to other staff on mental health and holistic support needs and benefits.
- Facilitating family meetings with the family and HERRC staff to discuss planning efforts and progress.
- Coordinating with emergency services, hospital social workers, and discharges, particularly around laboring individuals and newborns.
- Handling transfers to domestic violence shelter.
- Coordinating on domestic violence cases, particularly in instances where a 911 call must be made.
_Requirements _
- Master's in Social Services, Mental Health Counseling, and/or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 2-3 years of practice experience.
- Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish a Plus.
- Knowledge of New York State regulations and guidelines for social work practice.
- Experience in community-based services, shelters, immigrants; volunteer or mission experience with disaster relief, refugee, humanitarian relief, preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Empathy and sensitivity to the needs of diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and documentation.
- Must be able to commute to New York City and Boroughs.

VitalCheck Wellness is a fast-growing healthcare company with presence in the United States, Asia and Europe. VitalCheck Wellness administers the VitalCheck Doctors in Your Office program (the “Program”). The Program is a collaboration between VitalCheck Wellness and hospitals, independent medical practices and individual physicians designed to bring high-quality preventive healthcare to patients on site at their place of work or via telemedicine or at other locations where the patients are located. As part of the Program, VitalCheck Wellness also establishes and manages fixed onsite clinics for clients at their offices or at other locations where the patients are located.
