Th i s pos i t i on i s respons i ble for assembl i ng pre- f i n i sh components. Pre-F i n i sh Assembler I w i ll stock lumber, plates and other work-related mater i als and suppl i es. Th i s pos i t i on w i ll also band/stack f i n i shed products.

Essent i al Job Dut i es

  • Work w i th spray equ i pment to apply coat i ngs to bu i ld i ng mater i als.
  • Adjust guns angles and l i ne speeds and other sett i ngs to ach i eve proper coat i ngs coverage.
  • Perform qual i ty checks throughout ent i re sh i ft and after all changes i n sett i ngs or pressures.
  • Manually spray product i n our manual spray booth.
  • Sand mater i als as requ i red to ach i eve des i red qual i ty.
  • Load mater i als onto conveyors.
  • Safely and eff i c i ently ach i eve da i ly performance metr i cs.
  • Package f i n i shed work at the end of the process.
  • Troubleshoot i ssues w i th spray equ i pment and uses hand tools to make repa i rs on equ i pment.
  • Meets OSHA requ i rements w i th proper handl i ng of pa i nt, sta i n and other chem i cals.
  • Operate forkl i ft w i th foot and hand controls.
  • Recla i m coat i ngs accord i ng to the standard procedures.
  • Flush equ i pment dur i ng color changes by purg i ng coat i ngs through the pump and spray gun.
  • Ma i nta i n spray equ i pment by sett i ng proper pressures and rout i ne clean i ng.
  • Perform da i ly, weekly and monthly ma i ntenance tasks and s i gns off when completed.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork da i ly such as product i on logs, record i ng damaged product, and ma i ntenance tasks.
  • Ass i st Pre-F i n i sh assoc i ates and d i rect superv i sor i n ma i nta i n i ng a clean and organ i zed work env i ronment.
  • Follow all company pol i c i es and gu i del i nes and safety protocols.
  • Clean f i lter on the pump and run water through the guns.
  • Select correct t i ps and or i entat i on.
  • Check fan pattern on all t i ps.
  • Select color.
  • Check m i ll th i ckness.
  • Other dut i es as ass i gned by Management.


Knowledge, Sk i lls & Ab i l i t i es
  • M i n i mum educat i on requ i red - H i gh school educat i on and/or equ i valent work exper i ence.
  • M i n i mum exper i ence requ i red - Pr i or carpentry exper i ence helpful
  • Spec i al sk i lls requ i red - Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer. Ab i l i ty to learn to operate equ i pment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.
  • Phys i cal demands i nclude exposure to extreme temperatures, l i ft i ng up to 50 lbs. on a repet i t i ve bas i s and up to 100 lbs. occas i onally. Dusty and no i sy env i ronment when operat i ng woodwork i ng mach i nes and tools. Ear protect i on requ i red when exposed to no i se for an extended per i od of t i me. Eye protect i on and hard sole leather shoes requ i red at all t i mes.
