The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Finance will lead the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury, and Risk Management functions, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This critical executive position is responsible for ensuring the company's financial stability, managing financial risks, and optimizing the use of financial resources. The role demands strategic leadership, comprehensive financial planning, and oversight of treasury operations to support capital allocation, covenant compliance, liquidity, and business growth.
***The ideal candidate will have spent a significant amount of time as a VP or CFO for a public company rather than a financial institution or bank.
***This position is set to take over as the CFO in the next 12-18 months or fewer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy: Formulate and execute financial strategies that align with the company's objectives to drive growth and profitability.
- Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, investment strategies, and capital structure to maintain optimal liquidity and financial stability.
- Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial and operational risks, including insurance programs, foreign exchange and commodity exposures, interest rates, and credit risks with customers and vendors.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, including long-term strategic outlook, annual operating plans, and quarterly updates. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Funding and Capital Markets: Serve as the primary contact for relationships with lenders, banks, key investors, and other financial institutions. Ensure all covenant compliance and lead debt and equity financing activities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all financial regulations, reporting requirements, and internal policies.
- Team Leadership: Develop and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA, CFA, MBA, or relevant advanced degree required.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in finance and treasury management with a proven record of strategic leadership and financial expertise. Public company experience is required.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and leadership skills, and deep knowledge of financial markets and instruments. Capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
