What will your job look like?

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will own the full life cycle recruitment process (posting, identifying, attracting, assessing, hiring, and onboarding talent) for the Phoenix and Tucson MTM locations. The Talent Acquisition Specialist needs to be driven, innovative and customer centric so they can engage top talent for a variety of roles within the locations and continue to improve the company's employment brand.

This position is located onsite in our Phoenix office with trips to Tucson on an as needed basis.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute recruiting campaigns, specific to each location
  • Work with location leader to ensure that optimal staffing levels are being met
  • Conduct weekly touch base with Leaders to review recruitment needs and possible turnover
  • Execute the full life cycle recruitment process from job posting through the candidate onboarding stage
  • Own the sourcing and management of candidate pools, which includes building and maintaining talent pipelines to fill positions in a timely manner, and identifying and approaching active and passive candidates through internal and external channels, including social media
  • Build relationships and increase outreach efforts with local organizations to increase our candidate pipeline in the areas of Veteran, Minority and Individuals with Disabilities
  • Communicate with Hiring Managers/Leadership regularly regarding the status of the recruiting process, as well as facilitate ongoing professional communication with all stakeholders involved in the recruiting process
  • Conduct Recruiting Strategy Meetings with hiring managers, as needed, to ensure an understanding of the recruiting needs and job requirements, and advise on most appropriate action to take
  • Travel to the Tucson office for hiring events and in person touch bases
  • Screen applications, create and conduct behavioral based interviews, assess and select the most appropriate candidates to present to the hiring manager based on required skill sets, qualifications and competency requirements
  • Following notification from the Hiring Manager on selections, conduct reference/background checks, extend formal offers of employment, and confirm start dates date based on New Hire Orientation availability
  • Accurately enter all new hires and promotions into Workday and save all required documentation into personnel files
  • Provide exceptional customer service to candidates and hiring team throughout the recruitment process including coordination of interview scheduling with the candidate and hiring manager
  • Train the hiring manager and hiring teams on competency selection, interviewing skills, recruiting processes and selection tools to ensure proper hiring procedures are followed
  • Build strong relationships with management/hiring teams and establish the Talent Team as a trusted resource for finding top talent
  • Responsible for achievement of targeted KPIs
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador and represent MTM and MTM Transit as an Employer of Choice by maintaining an in depth understanding of MTM and MTM Transit business and culture
  • Adhere to all processes and procedures defined as part of the full life cycle recruitment process
What you'll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent amount of relevant experience required
  • 2+ years of experience as a recruiter, preferably in the transportation industry
  • Previous experience recruiting for contact center and logistics positions (Drivers or CCR's)
  • Intermediate level of proficiency or above with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Ability to provide coaching and guidance to hiring managers, and that includes having difficult conversations when necessary to keep the recruiting process compliant and effective

Salary Min: $55,920

Salary Max: $80,000
