- We are seeking a self-starter, motivated, and enthusiastic professional to join our team as a Lab Technician for a hydrometallurgical mining lab.
- Conducting research to improve hydrometallurgical processes in the mining industry, with a primary focus on the research program for leaching.
- Will execute laboratory experiments, and pilot-scale tests to evaluate results.
- Perform all standard hydrometallurgical analysis and procedures with a focus on leaching activities; processing ore samples, running column tests, and operating and maintaining lab equipment.
- Providing regular project updates to management, supporting scientists, marketing, sales, and tech service colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry/metallurgy/mining engineering or other related discipline
- Experience of analytical chemistry - particularly with AA, ICP-OES, HPLC, LC-MS
- Experience in a research-oriented environment leading to product development
- Individual must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed organization
- Must be self-directed, self-motivated and be effective at communicating with internal and external customers

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
