Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as a School-Based Mental Health Counselor located in Charlotte, NC. As a School-Based Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for providing counseling and mental health services to students in a school setting. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting individual and group counseling sessions, developing treatment plans, collaborating with teachers and parents, and providing support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, FMT or a related field
  • Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, Family-Marriage Therapist in NC
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health or educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and ethical guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, families, and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills and electronic health record systems
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
