The Principal Senior Quality Data Strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven strategies to enhance the quality and compliance of our healthcare services. This role involves leading data analysis initiatives, focusing on HEDIS, Medicare Stars, and New York State QARR measures, and providing strategic insights to drive continuous improvement.

Specifically, this candidate will be responsible for:
  • Lead the development and implementation of data strategies to improve HEDIS, Medicare Stars, and New York State QARR performance measures.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data analysis.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to design and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by establishing and maintaining robust data governance practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and quality improvement.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts in data analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on quality performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:

Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum Experience:

7+ years of experience in data analysis, quality improvement, or a related field, within the healthcare or health insurance industry.

Required Skills:
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing data-driven strategies.
  • Expertise in HEDIS, Medicare Stars, and New York State QARR measures and reporting.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data governance and quality assurance practices.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
