JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in the homes of older adults. This role involves organizing and conducting occupational therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation and enhance performance. Additionally, the therapist will evaluate and treat patients in their private residences or independent living facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise support personnel and temporary licensees
  • Adhere to treatment schedule and documentation requirements
  • Contribute to patient care conferences
  • Make referrals to other disciplines and agencies
  • Consult with rehabilitation team members and community physicians
  • Adapt program according to patients' needs
  • Promote a safe environment and order supplies as needed
  • Provide high-quality service to patients and families
  • Screen, examine, and evaluate patients and develop treatment goals
  • Design, fabricate, and fit adaptive devices
  • Instruct patients in necessary skills and techniques for functional activities
  • Perform routine reexaminations and modify treatment as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
  • Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license
  • Valid driver's license or reliable transportation
