Senior Security Engineer - Corporate | Summit Healthcare Mgmt | Franklin, Tennessee
About the Job:
The Senior Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for managing the implementation and maintenance of our cyber security infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Designs, implements and maintains cyber security infrastructure to protect company's digital assets.
  • Conducts regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security threats.
  • Develops and implements security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provides technical expertise and support to other teams within the organization on security-related issues.
  • Participates in incident response and investigate security breaches to identify the root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • Stays up to date with emerging cyber security threats and technologies and provide recommendations on new security measures to be implemented.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of security objectives with business goals.
  • Participates in the evaluation and testing of new security technologies and products.
  • Develops and delivers cyber security training and awareness programs to educate employees on cyber security risks and best practices.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains firewall and other security devices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the network and information systems.
  • Monitors network traffic and system logs to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Works with other security professionals to analyze and assess the impact of security threats and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
  • High school diploma required, college coursework in computer science, information security, or related field preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in cyber security engineering and/or related field required.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, Security+, or CEH preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, antivirus, endpoint protection, and data encryption.
  • Extensive experience with security policies and procedures, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct security assessments and investigations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
