The Information Security Specialist is responsible for oversight, monitoring, maintenance, support, and process improvement activities with a strong emphasis on Information Security and Risk Management. You will work with the CTO planning and executing Climate First's Information Security strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with security reviews and creation of risk assessments.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve programs to address key company risks and prepare internal teams against a wide variety of regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Facilitate ongoing risk and compliance initiatives and monitor control effectiveness.
  • Gather documentation for needed internal and/or external audits and exams.
  • Assist in the business controls testing, as needed.
  • Learn to use new systems and applications to document or gather support for audit procedures.
  • Assist with development of business plans, project plans, procedures, guidelines, change management, vendor management, disaster recovery and information security documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribes policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.
  • Collaborate with the Technology Department implementing and supporting various technologies solutions.
  • Review alerts, logs and other daily information security reports. Detect and escalate potential issues.
  • Lead patch management efforts.
  • Lead cyber security training efforts.

Specific Requirements

  • Achieve Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate (Q1 2024) certification.
  • Achieve Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (Q2 2024) certification.
  • Achieve ISC2 SSCP (Q3 2024) certification.
  • Achieve Mission Specialist Bronze level by 12/31/2024.

Physical Demands:

In the performance of respective tasks and duties, all Climate First Bank employees are expected to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. While performing duties, employees are required to sit, talk, hear, lift up to 20 llbs, and may be required to work evenings and/or weekends, attend remote meetings and/or travel.
