Production Coordinator

About the Role:

As a Production Coordinator, you will play a central role in facilitating and coordinating various aspects of the production process to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods or services. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing production schedules, coordinating workflow between different departments, and communicating effectively with team members to meet production goals and quality standards.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to deadlines.
  • Coordinate workflow between different departments, including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
  • Communicate production schedules, project status updates, and any relevant information to team members and stakeholders.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure adequate supply and prevent production disruptions.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to source materials, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of components.
  • Assist in the resolution of production issues, such as equipment malfunctions or quality control issues, by coordinating with relevant departments and implementing corrective measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including inventory levels, production costs, and quality control metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the production process and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and quality standards in the production environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the production department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in production coordination, manufacturing operations, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications used in production planning and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of production processes, inventory management principles, and quality control standards.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure to ensure production goals are met.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules as needed.
